The plain-English version
- We collect what a task marketplace needs to work: who you are, where the task is, what was said and paid, and proof that people are real.
- When you verify with a scan or with DigiLocker, your government ID number is never stored: we keep at most a one-way fingerprint and the last few digits. If you send ID photos for our team to check instead, the ID photo shows its number, so we keep the photos only until our team decides, 30 days at most. Only the HSTLE staff who check IDs can see them, and then we delete them.
- Your phone number is never shown to other users. Calls happen through private in-app rooms.
- Your live location is shared only with your task's other party, only while you are on the way during an active task, and stops when the task ends.
- Card and UPI payments run through regulated payment partners; card and UPI credentials never touch our servers. The bank account or UPI ID you add to get paid is stored by HSTLE.
- We do not sell your data. Ever.
- You can delete your account in the app, and you can complain to us or to the Data Protection Board of India.

Is my ID number stored?

Is my phone number shown to the other person?
No. Calls run through private, randomly named rooms in the app, they are not recorded, and phone numbers are never revealed to the other side.
What happens when I report a problem?
The money freezes the moment you report it, from any chat. A person on the HSTLE team looks at the chat, photos, receipts and status, and settles it: full release, full refund, or a split.
