HSTLE

Investor briefAs of 5 November 2026

Demand is our bottleneck.

A task marketplace: post any task in the app or through ChatGPT or Claude, a real person does it, and HSTLE holds the money until you approve.

67

tasks posted by outside people in the week to 5 November.

The problem

Nobody owns tasks.

  • Stand in the passport queue. Never mind.
  • Pick up a parcel. Never mind.
  • Fix my résumé tonight. Never mind.

Quick commerce solved products. A task still goes to whoever you know, or dies before anyone is asked.

Why now

AI can research anything. It can’t stand in a queue.

Someone has to be the person it calls. ChatGPT and Claude can already post a task to HSTLE for a connected account; the account holder picks the person and pays.

How it works

  1. Post it. One line and your price. Posting is free.

The app: a task to type four handwritten pages into a Google Doc, online, now; the first person who says yes takes it, or the poster picks; you pay 159 rupees when someone takes it
  2. Someone does it. The first person to say yes, or the one you pick.

The app: three people applied, each with a rating and a note, and a Choose button beside each
  3. You approve. They’re paid. Until then, HSTLE holds the money.

The app: the worker marked the Google Doc task done; once the poster approves, HSTLE sends them 134 rupees

Where it works

In person

the Mumbai region.

Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, out to Virar and Panvel.

Remote

posted from anywhere.

By a verified account, no phone number needed. The work is paid in rupees, into an Indian bank account.

Traction

20 of last week’s outside tasks were taken by a worker. 18 were cancelled by their posters before paying.

You pay when someone takes the task, not when you post, because asking for money first needs more trust than a new app has. Getting posters to pay at that step is what this round buys.

Supply

4,583 people signed up since 22 October, after an SEO update to hstle.in and a reel.

In all, 924 people hold a full ID approval, and 448 people sent 1,270 applications in the 14 days to 5 November. 58 tasks are done; 57 were posted by HSTLE to test the payments.

Business model

HSTLE keeps ₹10 and 10% of the price.

The poster pays the price plus ₹10 when someone takes the task; the worker gets 90% of the price. Gateway and payout costs come out of HSTLE’s share.

A ₹149 task: the poster pays ₹159. ₹134 goes to the worker and ₹25 to HSTLE.

Competition

The real competitor is somebody’s cousin.

A set list breaks on an open task: the pricing, the training and the promise.

The round

Raising a pre‑seed round.

Terms on the call. It pays for a Neighbourhood Lead who lives in Bandra, Juhu or Andheri and recruits posters by name, then an operations hire.
